Caregiver retreats:
- Québec: April 26 to 28 2024 at the Rawdon Golf Resort.
- Ontario: October 18-20 at the Ramada by Wyndham Belleville Harbourview Conference Centre.
While each retreat is slightly different depending on the facilities, time of year, activities available, etc. Here is an example of what a Family Retreat typically looks like:
- guests arrive on Friday evening for check-in and have a chance to meet the other families and enjoy a family friendly movie or another relaxed activity
- on Saturday guest speakers will present throughout the day on topics such as accessible recreation or travel, chair yoga, mindfulness, research updates, Disability Savings Plan, nutrition and cooking, service animals and other options! There will also be different activities available such as boating, lawn games, crafts and more! In the evening there is entertainment such as a musician or magician (please note these are examples and not all listed activities will be available at each retreat).
- on Sunday there will be another speaker or workshop and then all families will have a chance to say goodbye and ask any final questions.
