On March 11, 2014, four brave fire fighters will be ascending to the roof of the Osborne Village Fire Hall to stay in a tent in order to raise funds and awareness for local families affected by neuromuscular disorders.

To show their support for people with neuromuscular disorders, Lethbridge Fire Fighters will be braving freezing temperatures, inclement weather and whatever else nature throws at them at their first ever Rooftop Campout to raise awareness and funds to help ‘make muscles move’. Lethbridge Fire Fighters will be ascending to the rooftop of Toys R’ Us at 225 1 Ave S on March 27 and will stay there until March 30 in support of Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Funds raised will be used to improve the quality of life for people living with neuromuscular disorders by purchasing mobility equipment, providing support services, and funding research which will one day lead to a cure.

Canada Safeway has teamed up with Muscular Dystrophy Canada to raise much needed funds to support those living with a neuromuscular disorder. The Safeway Mobility Grants were created to assist registered clients with the purchase of medically necessary mobility related equipment. If you are a registered client of Muscular Dystrophy Canada then you can apply.
Grant application period occurs twice a year: Oct 1-31 and April 1-30th.

Volunteers are respected members of Muscular Dystrophy Canada’s team and play a vital role in the delivery of our fundraising campaigns, programs and services. We value their continued commitment and recognize their efforts during National Volunteer Appreciation week and International Volunteer Day.

The Walk for Lysa is a 5KM memorial fun run, organized by the Fraser Valley Chapter in memory of Lysa Terpstra. All proceeds from the Walk go to Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Walkers, runners, and strollers are welcome to attend!

HOP for Muscular Dystrophy is a great way to celebrate Easter and give back at the same time! HOP for Muscular Dystrophy is a fun educational fundraiser that raises funds, while educating preschool and elementary school children about neuromuscular disorders. Children get to wear bunny ears and hop, dance, and colour!
