Leaving a Gift in Your Will

“I am able to remain in my chair for longer periods of time, leading to more independence. Without the generosity of donors, none of this would have been possible.” – MDC client

There are several ways you can leave a gift in your will to Muscular Dystrophy Canada:

A GIFT IN MEMORY

If you would like to leave a designated gift to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, we would be happy to speak with you about your special interest and provide a full list of options to best fit your legacy.

As my daughter has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, she cannot stand, walk, or sit on her own. She needs help for all of her day to day activities like feeding, bathing, mobility. This Stander helps in her therapy as she needs to do Physiotherapy every day. Standing in the frame helps her work the muscles, spine and avoid contractures. The Bathing Chair & Commode have made her day to day life easier, as well.

She keeps her spine straight by using the stander, which helps muscles and bones stay active and avoid contractures. As she is in wheelchair or on bed most of the times, this standing frame has been very helpful for making her stand and make the blood flow normal and avoid spinal deformities.

We are very grateful to all the donors who helped us get the equipment which our daughter needs for day to day living. As our daughter needs support for all her needs, my wife has sacrificed her career and taking care of her full-time at home. As the only source of income for the family, financial position of the family is critical with all the expenditures for the therapy and equipment.
