Powered by Volunteers. Breaking Down Barriers into 2026

Four smiling volunteers stand side by side outdoors in front of a building. Two wear red shirts with ‘Volunteer’ printed on them, and all wear name badges and lanyards. Two of the volunteers wear blue headbands, and the group faces the camera in a welcoming, friendly pose

As we close out 2025, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the more than 600 volunteers who helped make this year such a success. Your generosity, passion, and commitment have strengthened the neuromuscular community across Canada. We are truly grateful for all you do.

Let’s make 2026 the Year You Get Involved.

The new year brings exciting opportunities to connect, contribute, and bring hope for people living with neuromuscular disorders. Whether you’re looking to grow, give back, or be part of something bigger, we have a place for you:

  • Fundraising & Events: Support Walk & Roll 2026 and other community fundraising initiatives that bring people together and fund our mission.
  • Administrative Support: Gain experience at our Toronto office and lend a hand in keeping our operations running smoothly.
  • Mission-Based Engagement: Get involved in family retreats, education and outreach activities, and our soon-to-launch peer support program.
  • Committee Participation: Share your skills on one of our national committees, including the National Fire Fighter Relations Committee or the Finance, Audit & Risk Management Committee, where you can help strengthen partnerships and shape Muscular Dystrophy Canada’s continued growth.

No matter how you choose to volunteer, your involvement will make a real difference. Together, we are breaking down barriers and building a more inclusive, connected future for the neuromuscular community.

Join us in 2026, let’s continue this momentum and make an even greater impact together. For more information on current and upcoming opportunities, contact Pamela Musgrave at Pamela.Musgrave@muscle.ca
